Boebert removes identify from enterprise filings tied to husband’s consulting agency – The Durango Herald

The Garfield County Republican updated business records to remove her name. It is not clear whether she owns the company
US MP Lauren Boebert removed her name from business papers associated with her husband Jayson’s oil and gas advisory firm after seeing payments of nearly US $ 1 million from Terra Energy, a drilling company operating in her district -Dollars had checked.
The Garfield County Republican was previously listed as the registered agent of JLB903 LLC, which in turn was the legal representative of Boebert Consulting, her husband’s oil and gas business. New paperwork filed with the Colorado Secretary of State last week by Boebert’s Campaign Treasurer Mike McCauley, a Salt Lake City accountant, removed the congressman’s name from JLB903. Instead, the company is now listing itself as a registered agent, which is permissible according to the Foreign Minister’s website.
The changes made after The Colorado Sun reported on the congressmen’s connections with Boebert Consulting, set Boebert apart from the two companies registered in the couple’s Silt home. However, it is not clear what ownership or equity interests Lauren Boebert has in either company.
A spokesman for Boebert’s convention bureau last month didn’t answer a question on whether the congresswoman owns Boebert Consulting and didn’t respond to requests for comment on Tuesday.
Filings with the U.S. Department of State in Colorado re-establish good reputations for both Boebert Consulting and JLB903 LLC, which were previously delinquent.
The companies are on trial after Boebert made payments of nearly $ 1 million. That income was reported in Boebert’s financial disclosure as being paid directly to Jayson Boebert, but the Congressman’s office later said the money was paid to Boebert Consulting. The payments were not shown in the financial disclosure that Boebert submitted during his candidacy for the 3rd Congressional District.
Boebert, who sits on the House of Representatives Natural Resources Committee, was a key cheerleader in the oil and gas industry and often quoted her husband’s work.
The Congresswoman’s office has said she does not work for Boebert Consulting, but has not said if she has any stake in the company. Terra Energy previously announced to The Colorado Sun that Jayson Boebert “has provided Terra contract drilling services as an on-site drill foreman since 2017”.
One of Boebert’s critics, former State MP Bri Buentello, a Pueblo Democrat, has since filed a complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics calling for an investigation into Terra Energy’s payments to Boebert Consulting.
