AWS Premier Consulting Companion, HeleCloud, Strengthens Place as Main AWS Consultancy by Appointing a Chief Know-how Officer
London, April 15, 2021: HeleCloud, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner based in the UK, Bulgaria and the Netherlands, today announced the appointment of Walter Heck as Group Chief Technology Officer. Heck’s appointment comes after HeleCloud’s year of strong growth. The company saw 70% revenue growth in 2020 and added more than 30 AWS consultants and engineers.
In his new role as CTO, Walter will be primarily responsible for sustaining this growth by expanding HeleCloud’s technical offering for its customers and working to attract the best AWS consultants.

HeleCloud also completed the acquisition of cloud-native software development company DataStork, which enabled HeleCloud to expand its expertise in cloud-native software development and artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI / ML). Heck will be responsible for integrating these features with HeleCloud’s existing professional and managed service offerings so that its customers can take advantage of the best new technologies through the cloud.
Walter is based in the Netherlands and is moving into the role after serving as the Dutch CTO of HeleCloud for the past two years, where he was responsible for ensuring that the operations of HeleCloud Netherland have the technical excellence expected from an AWS infrastructure specialist becomes. Before joining HeleCloud, Walter was CEO of the DevOps service provider OlinData, which HeleCloud later took over.
