Accenture Acquires Technique Activation Consultancy Root Inc. to Speed up Organizational Tradition and Transformational Change Utilizing Inventive and Experiential Approaches

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE) – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has acquired Root Inc., a 30-year consulting firm helping Global 2000 organizations activate strategy and transform cultures using creative and visual methods to accelerate employee engagement and change the effectiveness. Root joins Accenture’s Talent & Organization / Human Potential team and strengthens their organizational change management skills with several new experimental and digital resources to help engage people intellectually and emotionally, quickly and on a large scale. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

With 130 experts in Ohio and Illinois, Root works with clients to create and share their strategy and transformation stories in new and diverse ways that authentically connect with people, have meaningful conversations, and create ownership for change.

One of the most important ways to organize root organizational change is through the Root Learning Map® experience. The Root Learning Map is used by nearly 1,000 organizations worldwide and uses a large visual format combined with data and dialog to illustrate a company’s path of change. This is intended to encourage employees to engage with and immerse themselves in the strategic changes in their company, and to connect with their individual roles, resulting in accelerated and sustainable strategic change.
