The Energy Service Center (TESC), which was set up in May 2019, has had a productive year despite the global pandemic.

Now that there is light at the end of the tunnel for companies in all industries, TESC Managing Director Craig Storey has announced plans to fill around 100 positions at his headquarters in Seaham.

Mr. Storey said, “It has been a difficult year for many companies in all industries, but we have managed to perform very well thanks to the variety of products and services we can offer our customers.

“We have several options that will allow us to cut their expenses and of course for the past 12 months since the pandemic started we have all been looking for ways to save money.

“Now we seem to be approaching a time when the restrictions are gradually being lifted. We believe that this is the right time as a company to implement our expansion plans and open our doors to new employees.”

TESC operates in the business-to-business market and offers its customers services in the fields of energy, water, telecommunications, waste management and dealer services.

The company also advises customers of the funding of pots for medium-sized companies as well as energy-saving platforms to reduce costs and efficiency.

Roles will be available in a variety of positions focused on sales and while the experience would be welcome, Craig and his business partner Elaine Elliott would like to offer the younger generation the opportunity to take their first step up the corporate ladder.

Craig added, “We currently have 26 employees and we plan to increase that number significantly by the end of the year.

“We will welcome applications from all sides, although we are fully aware of the problem of youth unemployment in this particular area.

“I have always firmly believed that if someone gives them the opportunity to learn and develop properly, they can really get a grip on a role and have a real chance at making progress.

“Full training is offered regardless of experience, and I encourage any high school leaver or trainee who want a real chance to start a career to get in touch.”
